The OCAD U Throwing Club was where I, directly or indirectly, learnt just about everything about ceramics. It was because of the Throwing Club that I learned how to use the wheel and practiced on the wheel. It was because of the Throwing Club that I read any books on ceramics. Indeed it was the Throwing Club that enabled me to have access to the studio, and by access I don’t mean physical access per se, but access to the privilege of firing your work.

The Throwing Club is not active in the Summer semester, so with the ceramics portion of my thesis drawing to a close, I am also losing firing privileges in the studio. Finding a way to set up my own ceramics studio will now be a future goal, hopefully a mid-term one instead of a long-term one.
